Description : Honoring the history of the existing Crystal Pool – an Italian Renaissance building built in 1906 – and respecting the context of the Belltown neighborhood were the two driving forces in the design of Cristalla. Weber + Thompson's strong design has been commended for its sensitive integration of the original building's elaborate terra cotta façade. A pergola-like facsimile of the building's original dome anchors the building's striking structural composition of alternating layers of glass.Cristalla's residential units range from 420sf studios to 2800sf penthouses. The units all incorporate highly detailed signature elements including custom storage / display units, stone countertops, and high-tech translucent sliding panels. Weber + Thompson's interior design team developed finish schemes that buyers can choose from, with customization available for early buyers. Rich saturated colors, contrasting textures and reflective surfaces, carefully conceived lighting and elegant but simple detailing combine to create an urban sensibility designed to feel like home. Cristalla's interiors were designed to reflect the Italian Modern concept that inspired the design of this elegant tower. Alluding to the spa theme of the original Crystal Pool Natatorium, transparency and reflectance are infused throughout the finishes and detailing. The lobby has the ambiance of a high-end boutique hotel, complete with a soothing water feature and oversized fireplace. Amenity spaces, including an exercise room with spa, party room with pool table, 12-seat home theater, and the top floor Sky Lounge, were designed with comfort in mind.
